Homebuyer Education

Welcome to REACH

Readiness Education Awareness Collaborative for Homebuyers and Homeowners (REACH) assures that quality homebuyer education is available to all Nebraskans.

Readiness Education Awareness Collaborative for Homebuyers and Homeowners (REACH) is a statewide homebuyer education delivery system that functions as a collaborative of nonprofit organizations, lending institutions, government agencies, real estate professionals and educational organizations.  The Association serves as the Lead Agency and coordinates the effort, offering Train the Trainer workshops to improve the delivery of quality, homebuyer education, expanding access to homebuyer education, and gathering data to show the impact of homebuyer education.  The Association receives funding from the FHLBank of Topeka and the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority to support the coordination of REACH and  REACH Affiliate Organizations to deliver education.

In collaboration with REACH Affiliate Organizations, the Lead Agency and the REACH Education Council establish guidelines, evaluate outcomes, and share resources.  REACH Affiliate Organizations deliver quality, homebuyer education workshops that cover the 16 Uniform Standards established by REACH.

NEW in 2014 the FHLBank Topeka defers recognition of approved homebuyer education providers to REACH.  In addition to face-to-face workshops, REACH has also approved using eHomeAmerica.org, an online option to access quality, homebuyer education.  Although we recognize eHomeAmerica.org as an approved method of receiving a homebuyer education certificate of completion, we still HIGHLY encourage attending a face-to-face workshop when possible.  The interaction between workshop participants and meeting other people in your community cannot be replaced with online education.

There is a registration fee that varies by REACH Affiliate Organizations to take the online course.
