Last week, we sent a letter to Governor Ricketts encouraging him to allocate federal funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) towards affordable housing development and rehabilitation. Congress passed ARPA in March, which will give Nebraska $1 billion to provide relief to recover economically from the pandemic. Ultimately, allocation of the funds will be decided through the legislative process once session begins in January, but the governor will propose a plan to spend the funds to senators to give his input.
