Lincoln, NE -- The Nebraska Housing Developers Association (NDHA) announces the hiring of Matthew Cavanaugh as Executive Director effective Monday, October 23, 2017. Cavanaugh has significant experience in both affordable housing and intergovernmental relations. Recently, Cavanaugh worked as the Legislative Director for the Chairman of the Labor Committee in the Illinois State Senate.

Born and raised in Omaha, Cavanaugh has returned to Nebraska after 12 years living and working in Illinois.

“I am excited to utilize my skills and experience to promote the mission of NHDA to champion affordable housing throughout Nebraska,” said Cavanaugh. “NHDA’s spirited board, dedicated staff, and dynamic membership indicate an organization with a strong and accomplished history. I look forward to building on that past and accomplishing great things for our members in the future.”

The Nebraska Housing Developers Association is a statewide 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that works to champion affordable housing through three strategic areas of focus.
